Bellagio is known as "the pearl of Lake Como" for its central location and charming neighborhoods. There are many small shops and beautiful vias to explore. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as there are a lot of cobblestone streets and many steps to reach the top of the town.

Take a stroll in Lungolago. This area is on the western side of Bellagio (to the right of the port) with park benches overlooking the water. If you continue all the way down, you will reach Lido di Bellagio (where our welcome party pick up location is).

Hotel Florence was our favorite restaurant while staying in Bellagio. It is perfect for lunch or dinner with a lake view. You may even see live music if you are lucky! Order the espresso martinis!

There are many gelato places throughout Bellagio but our favorite was Gelateria Excelsior!

Soak up the sun at the beach club, Lido di Bellagio! There is also a restaurant and bar. (This is the pick up location of our welcome party)

Visit the local beach, Spiaggia Pubblica di Bellagio. This is a small, low-key 'beach' area where people can sit and swim. The beach is slippery and rocky (not sandy) so bring shoes for the water! Please note that there are many steps to get down to the water so this activity may difficult for young children or people with walking restrictions.

Take a private boat tour from Bellagio! Once you set sail, you will start an unforgettable journey through the most enchanting places of Lake Como. Admire renowned attractions such as Villa Carlotta, with its botanical gardens, and Villa del Balbianello, immortalized in Star Wars and Casino Royale. The tour continues with picturesque historical residences like Villa La Cassinella and Villa Balbiano, featured in the film House of Gucci. Finally, discover Isola Comacina and admire Villa Melzi, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Take a 15 minute ferry to the towns of Menaggio and Varenna. Ferry tickets can be purchased at the ports in each town, where you will also find a schedule posted. Both towns offer many restaurants and shopping. While visiting Varenna, make sure to visit the famed Villa Monastero.
